GPS Location Tracker - Go Maps

1. Scope and our role

This policy applies to the Android app with package name com.go.maps.location.tracker.gps. It covers information processed directly by the App and information processed by the service providers integrated into the App. Third-party services process information under their own privacy policies.

2. Information we handle

Location information. With your permission, the App may access precise or approximate device location to show your current position, display maps and addresses, add coordinates and location information to photos or videos, and save places you choose. When you request a map, place, or address, coordinates or search information may be sent to Google Maps Platform to return the requested result. The App does not request background-location permission and is not designed to continuously track your location while you are not using a location feature.

Camera and media you create. With your permission, the App accesses the camera so you can preview and capture photos or videos and add details such as time, date, coordinates, address, map, or notes. Captured media is stored on your device by default. We do not use Firebase Analytics, advertising providers, or attribution providers to collect the contents of your photos, videos, or notes.

Saved places and preferences. Places, labels, notes, templates, settings, and related choices you save may be stored locally on your device so the App can remember them.

App activity and technical information. The App and its service providers may process app launches, screen or feature interactions, ad views and clicks, purchase status, diagnostic signals, device model, operating-system and app version, language, network type, IP address, advertising identifier, app-set or installation identifiers, and install/referrer information. Approximate location may be inferred from an IP address. We use this information to operate and improve the App, measure performance and campaigns, prevent abuse, display and measure advertising, and confirm purchases.

Purchase information. If you buy a subscription or in-app product, Google Play processes the payment. We may receive product, transaction, entitlement, and purchase-status information needed to provide and restore your purchase. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

Communications. If you contact us, we receive the information you send, such as your email address, message, and any attachments, so we can respond and provide support.

3. Device permissions

The App may request only the permissions needed for the feature you choose:

• Precise or approximate location: maps, coordinates, addresses, geotagging, and saved places.
• Camera: camera preview and photo or video capture.
• Network access: maps, addresses, advertising, analytics, attribution, billing, and service delivery.

You can deny or revoke optional permissions in Android Settings. A feature that depends on a denied permission may not work, but unrelated features should remain available where technically possible.

4. Why we use information

• Provide maps, location, camera, geotagging, timestamp, saved-place, and media features you request.
• Save your choices and maintain App functionality.
• Measure usage, diagnose problems, improve performance, and develop features.
• Display, personalize where permitted, limit, and measure advertisements.
• Attribute installations and measure marketing campaigns.
• Process, verify, and restore subscriptions or in-app purchases.
• Protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, and enforce our Terms of Use.
• Respond to questions, support requests, and privacy requests.

5. Service providers and data sharing

We do not sell the contents of your photos, videos, notes, or saved places. We share or allow processing of information only as needed to provide the App, with your direction or consent, for legal and safety reasons, or during a business reorganization. The current App build includes the following services:

Advertising partners may act as independent controllers of information they receive and may combine it with information from other apps or services as described in their policies. Depending on your region, consent may be requested before personalized advertising or related storage and processing are enabled.

6. Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: (a) performance of our contract with you to provide requested App features; (b) your consent for permissions, personalized advertising, or other processing where consent is required; (c) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, analyzing, and improving the App, balanced against your rights; and (d) compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time through available App controls, Android settings, or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed lawfully.

7. Your choices and rights

• Location and camera: manage permissions in Android Settings > Apps > GPS Location Tracker - Go Maps > Permissions.
• Local content: delete photos or videos through the App or your device gallery, delete saved places or notes in the App, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App.
• Advertising: use any privacy-choice control presented in the App and manage or delete your device's advertising ID in Android privacy settings. Ad choices vary by region and device.
• Purchases: manage subscriptions in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
• Privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or a portable copy of personal information we control, and you may lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.

Because much of the App's content is stored only on your device, we may not possess or be able to identify that content. We may ask for reasonable information to verify and process your request.

8. Data retention and deletion

On-device content such as photos, videos, notes, settings, and saved places remains until you delete it, clear App storage, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling may not delete media already saved to a shared device gallery; delete that media through the gallery or file manager.

Analytics, advertising, attribution, purchase, and support information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, according to our configured retention periods and the service providers' retention rules, and as required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or law. Aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies you may be retained longer.

To request deletion of personal information we control, email contact.matechmobile@gmail.com with the subject “GPS Location Tracker - Go Maps data deletion request.” Include enough detail for us to understand your request, but do not email sensitive location data, photos, payment-card details, or passwords.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No device, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device with an appropriate screen lock and review location details before sharing geotagged media.

10. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we and our providers use safeguards intended to protect personal information during international transfers.

11. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their country, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. If the App is later offered to children, we will apply the additional consent, advertising, and Google Play Families requirements that apply.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy to reflect App, legal, or service changes. We will post the revised version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required.

1. Who may use the App

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you. The App is not intended for children under the minimum age stated in the Privacy Policy.

2. License and permitted use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control for lawful personal or internal business purposes. We and our licensors retain all rights not expressly granted.

3. Location, maps, and safety

Pay attention to your surroundings and obey traffic, access, privacy, and safety laws. Do not operate the App while driving or in any situation where distraction is unsafe.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You retain your rights in photos, videos, notes, place labels, and other content you create with the App. You are responsible for that content and for deciding whether to add or share precise location information. Review geotagged content before sharing it because location details may reveal a home, workplace, routine, or other sensitive place.

You must obtain any permission required before photographing, recording, tracking, labeling, or sharing information about another person, private property, or restricted location.

5. Prohibited conduct

You may not use the App to:

• stalk, harass, threaten, secretly monitor, or violate another person's privacy;
• create or distribute unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, or harmful content;
• misrepresent a location, timestamp, identity, event, or media item for fraud or other unlawful purposes;
• bypass security, interfere with the App or its services, introduce malicious code, or access systems without authorization;
• copy, resell, reverse engineer, or extract source code except to the extent applicable law expressly permits; or
• violate law, these Terms, Google Play rules, or third-party rights.

6. Advertising and third-party services

The App may display advertisements and uses third-party map, location, analytics, attribution, advertising, consent, and payment services. Third-party content and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services except where applicable law says otherwise.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

In-app products or subscriptions, when offered, are billed through Google Play. Prices, billing periods, free-trial conditions, and renewal details are shown before purchase. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled through Google Play before the renewal date. Payment, cancellation, and refund requests are subject to Google Play's terms and applicable law. Removing the App does not automatically cancel a subscription.

8. App changes and availability

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, and may issue updates needed for security, compatibility, legal compliance, or performance. Some features require a compatible device, network connection, permission, or third-party service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

9. Intellectual property

The App, including its software, interface, graphics, branding, and documentation, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual-property law. Maps, place information, ads, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.

10. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from the App. Our total liability for claims relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the App or others, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

13. Governing rules and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protections in your country continue to apply. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Nothing here limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited by contract.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the App, law, or our services change. The revised Terms will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.

15. General

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about your use of the App unless additional terms are presented for a specific feature.
